James Richey, DMD

Dr. Richey and his family

Dr. Richey was born and raised in Central California as the youngest of 5 children. As a result of that, he became a good observer of people, and learned lessons by watching, which led to early course corrections when needed! Not surprisingly, as the youngest of 5 he also learned early how to get along well with people of all ages, and that serves him well to this day.

He graduated from Brigham Young University – Idaho with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and minor in Dance Pedagogy. He graduated from Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine with his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree. He was awarded the newly created Student Ambassador Award as a 3rd year student and the Student Mentor Award for his time spent teaching new students in the clinic and being a part of the Interview committee at the school.

Dr Richey is continually driven to learn more to help the people in his community. He is currently trained in clear aligner therapy and is working on expanding his skills to better serve his patients.

Wellness is a high priority for Dr. Richey, and that includes downtime, fun and family. He enjoys hobbies like archery, leather and wood working, shooting and reading. And if he’s not doing any of those things, it’s a fair bet that you’ll find him on the dance floor with his wife, or on the floor playing with their young son.
